All in all, I really like the environment where I work. My boss is really cool, he basically lets me leave whenever I want and clock in 40 hours of work given that I complete my stuff. Even with all this flexibility, I still like coming in to work every morning at 9 AM and leaving at around 5. Today my boss's boss, Chase Lenfest, the founder the CEO of the company told me that we should grab lunch later this week, so hopefully that should be pretty sweeeeeet. Anyways, I'm off my lunch break now so I'm going to get back to work. Expect more interesting posts in the future.

"I hate Mondays"- Garfield
Contrary to Garfield's sentiments regarding Monday, I actually kind of like them. It's strange but I really enjoy starting off a new week. Maybe it's because I like my job. Or because I enjoy learning new things. Or because it's a new, fresh start. Regardless, I am always particularly happy on Mondays for some strange reason. Haha ironically I'm writing this today while I'm sitting at work doing a research report on insurance--which is possibly the worst industry in all of business. I usually love doing my job and don't spend very much time procrastinating while at work (with the exception of the occasional youtube video and the constant checks of scottrade, yahoo finance, and facebook) but ever since I started doing this project on insurance I have been needing to take a break at least every 45 minutes. There is no other way I can make it through this project, the topic is just so dry and morbid that I have to look to other sources for chi. Anyways, I thought today that I would post a picture of my desk where I work. It's basically just a medium sized room with white walls, two desks (for me and the other intern, Ankita), two trashcans, two laptops, and lots of research papers scattered about. On the positive side my office is located on the 7th floor of a beautiful office building that overlooks the Schuylkill River. Unfortunately my room doesn't have any windows, so I don't get to enjoy any of the great view that we have.

First Blog
Hmmm not sure what to post since, after all, this is my very first blog post. Ah, well I guess I can just talk about all the cool stuff I've been doing at work. For the past several weeks I've been working as a marketing intern at the Lenfest Media Group. In addition to writing reports, researching upcoming trends, and reading the latest marketing news, I've lately been browsing through many cool blogs, which led me to create my own. One blog that I find particularly interesting is the Amnesia Blog, which is coincidentally a subsidiary of Avenue A Razorfish-- the premier digital media company of our day and age-- and one of my current employer's biggest competitors. Hopefully I won't get fired for writing this.
On a different note I was browsing through the internet today, reading news as usual during work when I stumbled across a website that claims to have three times the number of searches than Google. Shocked, I immediatley went to the website and was impressed to see that it was, actually, larger than Google in sheer terms of indexing web sites. This was probably because the site was founded by ex-Google employees. Unfortunately the website couldn't find any results for my name which eventually led me to discredit it.
